APPLICATION OF THE ACCOUNTING SIMULATION MODEL IN TEACHING TO HELP STUDENTS DEVELOP SOFT SKILLS: THE CASE OF THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND LAW, TRA VINH UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The quality of accounting teams
plays a great impact on the prestige and development of enterprises. However, the current
specialized accounting training reveals many inadequacies. With the need of combining theories
with practice to improve the quality in training
accounting, the School of Economics and Law -
Tra Vinh University has developed the research
and application of the simulation accounting
model into teaching scientifically. The introduction of the model has helped to solve the existing
shortcoming in training programs that are having insufficient practice but redundant theories
resulting in graduates’ failure to meet employers’
requirements. Along with specialized knowledge,
practice on simulated accounting model is an
important content of the training program to
build career skills for students. The study aims to
detect and evaluate the performance of students
who have worked as a real accountant, thereby
building and forming their practical professional
skills to meet the employers’ requirements.
