REVIEW POLICY

TVUJS employs a double-blind review policy, ensuring that information about Authors and Reviewers remains anonymous. Submitted manuscripts must pass the screening stage before being sent to Reviewers for formal review. The process of reviewing manuscripts and submitting the review reports is conducted confidentially through TVUJS’s online system.

Benefits for Reviewers

TVUJS appreciates and rewards Reviewers for invaluable contributions, as Reviewers play an integral role in helping Authors improve the manuscripts and supporting the integrity of the publishing process. TVUJS offers the following recognition for experts reviewing manuscripts:

  • Be received monetary remuneration for reviewing manuscripts under the current financial policy of Tra Vinh University (TVU);
  • Be awarded a Certificate for acknowledging scientific contributions to the TVUJS at the end of the year;
  • Be recorded in the TVUJS expert database, creating opportunities for continued connection and future collaboration with TVUJS and TVU.

Responsibilities for Reviewers

Upon receiving a review invitation from TVUJS, Reviewers are required to carefully consider to ensure (1) the alignment of the manuscript’s research area with the expertise and research experience of experts invited for reviewing the manuscript; (2) the familiarity with the published policies of TVUJS; (3) the ability to submit the review report within the timeframe stipulated by TVUJS; and (4) the confidentiality and issues related to potential conflicts of interest.

Reviewers are expected to take responsibility for the following requirements:

  • Assess the scientific quality of the manuscript objectively and fairly based on the review form provided by TVUJS;
  • Provide transparent, constructive comments and recommendations to the Author for improving the manuscript so that it meets TVUJS’s publication criteria;
  • Suggest a concluding opinion on whether to accept, reject for publication, or request the Authors for revisions, which is the basis for the Editor in making the final decision;
  • Notify the Editor if there are any potential ethical issues in manuscripts, including any violation of accepted norms of ethical treatment of animal or human subjects, or significant similarities or duplicates between the manuscript being reviewed and any other published publications, with prior knowledge of the reviewer; suspected conflicts of interest, co-author contributions, even if the manuscripts are in reviewing, editing, or publication approval status.

Besides, as a member of COPE, TVUJS adheres to the basic principles and standards in the COPE ethical guidelines for peer reviewers in research publication.
